Job Description
Job Title: Health and Safety Supervisor
Salary: $85,000 – $115,000 per year (competitive benefits and performance incentives)
Our client is an established leader in heavy industrial materials and operations, dedicated to driving sustainable production through a culture of site safety and environmental stewardship. They are seeking a proactive Senior Health and Safety Supervisor to oversee local site initiatives, lead field inspections, and cultivate a safe, compliant work culture near the greater Tucson, AZ area.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Supervising and evaluating daily site health and safety operations to ensure full compliance with internal standards alongside local, state, and federal regulatory frameworks.

Leading incident investigations and structured risk assessments to identify operational hazards and implement corrective controls.

Facilitating regulatory and safety audits (including MSHA, OSHA, and state agency oversight), managing site walk-throughs, addressing non-conformities, and maintaining required compliance documentation.

Mentoring safety personnel and operational leaders by delivering safety training, providing input on maintenance/production planning, and fostering a culture of continuous safety improvement.

Inspecting industrial work areas continuously to ensure protective measures are executed across field and plant environments.
Here’s what our ideal candidate has:

Demonstrated leadership capability with direct experience supervising safety personnel, leading field projects, or driving safety management systems (HSMS).

Strong regulatory knowledge of industrial safety standards (MSHA/OSHA) and experience conducting formal risk assessments or root-cause analyses.

Proven operational ability to thrive in active industrial or manufacturing environments with diverse physical requirements and potential shift schedules.

Beneficial Certifications (Preferred): MSHA supervisor training, OSHA 30, ISO 45001/HSMS coursework, or formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA) certification.
