Java Software Engineer

Pay Rate: $40 - $60/hour

Type: Long-Term Contract or Contract-to-Hire

Location: Hybrid with Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays Onsite in Cary, NC

Our client is a leader in providing technical solutions for key players in the transportation and supply chain industry, and they are looking for a Java Developer to join their team.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
  • Designing, building, implementing, and supporting technical solutions and integrations for internal stakeholders and external customers in collaboration with Architects
  • Building modular code that is maintainable, readable, and secure
  • Deploying modules to public cloud platform
  • Writing unit and integration tests
  • Adapting a continuous improvement outlook and providing suggestions for improvements and best practices
Here’s what our ideal candidate has:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field, or the equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience designing and building robust web applications for junior level and 5+ years experience for mid-senior level
  • Experienced, hands-on developer utilizing the following: Java 8 or above, Spring/SpringBoot, Maven or related tools, SQL, and Angular 7 or above
  • Experienced deploying, managing, and computing in a public cloud environment, preferably in AWS, but GCP and Azure are acceptable substitutes
