Java Software Engineer
Pay Rate: $40 - $60/hour
Type: Long-Term Contract or Contract-to-Hire
Location: Hybrid with Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays Onsite in Cary, NC
Our client is a leader in providing technical solutions for key players in the transportation and supply chain industry, and they are looking for a Java Developer to join their team.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Designing, building, implementing, and supporting technical solutions and integrations for internal stakeholders and external customers in collaboration with Architects
Building modular code that is maintainable, readable, and secure
Deploying modules to public cloud platform
Writing unit and integration tests
Adapting a continuous improvement outlook and providing suggestions for improvements and best practices
Here’s what our ideal candidate has:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field, or the equivalent professional experience
2+ years of experience designing and building robust web applications for junior level and 5+ years experience for mid-senior level
Experienced, hands-on developer utilizing the following: Java 8 or above, Spring/SpringBoot, Maven or related tools, SQL, and Angular 7 or above
Experienced deploying, managing, and computing in a public cloud environment, preferably in AWS, but GCP and Azure are acceptable substitutes
