  • Foundational Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial). An advanced technical or business degree is advantageous.
  • Extensive Manufacturing Experience: Over 7 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering capacity, with considerable background in the assembly of power units, generator sets, and/or electric motors.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business value drivers and the ability to objectively evaluate and justify strategic options.
  • Precision Manufacturing Background: Experience in aerospace or other high-precision manufacturing sectors is strongly preferred.
  • Process Improvement Expertise: Proven expertise in manufacturing process development and enhancement (e.g., lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies, error detection/prevention, fixture design). Experience with experimental design, measurement system analysis, and process validation.
  • Tooling Design Capability: Capability to design specialized tooling for medium to high-volume production.
  • Automation Implementation: Demonstrated experience deploying automation within manufacturing workflows.
  • Prototype to Production Scaling: Background in prototype development and scaling initial processes to full production volumes.
  • Fabrication & Assembly Experience: Experience with bespoke fabrication, and assembly processes for power units, generator sets, and electric motors.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in leading design software (e.g., 3D CAD, tolerance stack-up analysis, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing) and manufacturing execution systems.
  • Continuous Improvement Knowledge: Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and similar continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Industry Standards Familiarity: Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., those found in automotive or aerospace).
  • Additive Manufacturing: Experience with additive manufacturing techniques (e.g., 3D printing) is a plus.

Working Conditions & Travel:
  • This is a full-time, salaried position, operating in both office and manufacturing/production environments.
  • Potential for extended on-site presence during new process development.
  • Regular travel (up to 30%) to various engineering and production facilities.
