We are seeking a Senior Manager, Applications Engineering to join our team in Cedar Park, TX. This role involves technical engagement with customer engineering teams to design and develop solutions for out bleeding edge power generation technology in the stationary and mobile power generation market. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in distributed energy resources and generating resources using natural gas, hydrogen, and waste gas. This position offers the opportunity to travel 30-40% of the time, with potential international travel in 2025.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Translating customer requirements into effective technical solutions for our generator
Developing and compiling techno-commercial responses for RFPs/RFQs
Providing engineering data, documentation, and training to customers
Developing QA/QC and commissioning data packs
Promoting our technologies solutions at conferences and industry forums
Assisting in on-site commissioning and troubleshooting system issues
Contributing to the development of pricing models and quotation tools
Developing strong working relationships with customer technical teams
Ensuring Generators meet design and customer system requirements
Here’s what our ideal candidate has:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
10+ years of experience in a similar applications engineering role in the power generation industry
Understanding of industry standards and codes (NEMA, NFPA, IEC, IEEE, UL)
Experience with microgrids, natural gas, waste gas, cogeneration, and landfill gas projects
Ability to communicate complex technical subjects with external partners and customers
Experience in writing and reviewing subcontractor work scopes and agreements
Ability to lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team
