We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Business Analyst to serve as the strategic liaison between business stakeholders and the Salesforce technical delivery team for our leading healthcare client. This role will be responsible for understanding business processes, eliciting and documenting requirements, and translating business needs into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
The Salesforce Business Analyst will partner closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, Salesforce Developers, Architects, and cross-functional teams to optimize Salesforce solutions, improve business processes, enhance user experiences, and support the organization's broader strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis and communication skills with hands-on Salesforce experience and a solid understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
Position Details:
Location: Denver, CO candidates preferred, remote candidates considered.
Schedule: Hybrid - able to be in office Tues/Wed/Thur on the 2nd week of the month
Contract: 16-month contract with potential for extension or conversion
Experience: 3–5+ years of Business Analysis experience
Salesforce Experience: 2+ years of direct Salesforce experience
Target Pay Rate: 40.00/hr W2

Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Agile Delivery
- Collaborate with business partners, Product Owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Translate high-level business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flow diagrams.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Manage and maintain the product backlog in Jira.
- Ensure requirements, work notes, dependencies, and blockers are appropriately documented and addressed.
- Partner with stakeholders and technical teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure requirements are clearly understood and successfully delivered.
System Analysis & Solution Design
- Analyze current-state business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automate processes using the Salesforce platform.
- Partner with Salesforce Developers and Architects to ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements and align with Salesforce best practices.
- Evaluate business and technical impacts associated with new Salesforce releases, features, workflows, and customizations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization of Salesforce functionality.
- Help translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications that can be effectively implemented by the development team.
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Define, develop, and execute test conditions and test plans.
- Perform functional testing to validate Salesforce functionality against business requirements.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
- Document and track defects, issues, and resolutions.
- Troubleshoot systemic issues and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Partner with developers and technical teams to investigate and resolve defects and production issues.
Training & Documentation
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, system workflows, process documentation, and training materials in Confluence.
- Develop clear and user-friendly documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Serve as a "train-the-trainer" resource by providing ongoing education and support to business users.
- Help users understand and effectively adopt new Salesforce features and functionality.
- Develop technical presentations, release notes, and other communications for non-technical leadership and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in an IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or closely related role.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce (REQUIRED).
- Needs a strong understanding of Salesforce standard and custom objects, Flows, validation rules, and security controls (REQUIRED).
- Demonstrated experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and translating business requirements.
- Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments.
- Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience creating process flows and diagrams using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Certified Business Analyst certification.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator certification.
- Experience supporting Salesforce implementations, enhancements, or optimization initiatives.
- Experience working with Salesforce Developers, Architects, Product Owners, and technical delivery teams.
- Experience with process improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
