Job Description
Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Data Projects
Location: Remote (EST hours preferred)
Type: Contract
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager with strong experience leading data-focused initiatives. This role will guide cross-functional teams across enterprise data, BI, and data science projects, ensuring delivery, budget management, and effective stakeholder alignment.
Responsibilities:
- Leading multiple data-driven projects, including BI, MDM, and enterprise data initiatives
- Breaking down scope into clear work units, tracking accountability and timing
- Managing project budgets, forecasts, risks, and mitigation plans
- Partnering with business, data, and IT teams to identify and address delivery gaps
- Coordinating cross-functional teams using primarily Waterfall, with some Agile elements
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of project management experience, including data-related initiatives
- Strong background managing enterprise data, reporting, or analytics projects
- Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial risks
- Experience with Azure, Databricks, and Power BI preferred
- PMP certification a plus
