Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead digital initiatives of varying complexity within a fast-paced, Agile environment for our leading healthcare client. This role is responsible for driving successful project outcomes through effective planning, execution, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who ensures alignment with departmental goals while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- 9-month contract (potential extension/conversion).
- 100% remote.
- Target Pay Rate: $50/hr, W2 only.
- Full-time hours expected, this is not a part-time contract.
Key Responsibilities Project Execution & Delivery

Lead the planning, scheduling, tracking, and delivery of project goals, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.

Partner with stakeholders to define project scope and manage the change control process with appropriate leadership oversight.

Apply Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to manage backlogs, facilitate sprint ceremonies, and guide iterative development cycles.

Take full ownership of projects from initiation through closure, maintaining accountability for results.

Analyze project outcomes, capture lessons learned, and apply insights to improve future delivery.

Provide day-to-day coordination and leadership for cross-functional project teams.

Remove impediments and promote a collaborative, productive team environment.

Execute a comprehensive communication plan to keep stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and milestones.

Facilitate project meetings, workshops, sprint ceremonies, and retrospectives to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.

Contribute to project budget development and actively track financial performance, including actuals, forecasts, and variances.

Identify, document, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.

Develop and implement mitigation and contingency plans in collaboration with stakeholders.

Support PMO continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing performance data and sharing best practices.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience may be considered.

Minimum (5) years of IT experience, including at least (5)Â years managing IT projects.

Demonstrated ability to translate business strategies into actionable project plans.

Proven experience leading Agile projects (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

Experience managing projects involving cloud technologies (preferably GCP).

Demonstrated expertise in resource management and change management practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Project required; intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
Preferred Qualifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other recognized project management certification.

Change management or Lean Six Sigma certification.

Experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools such as Targetprocess, Clarity, Smartsheet, Jira, or Microsoft Project Online.

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Familiarity with Continuous Discovery and Delivery frameworks.

Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance).
