Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. IT Finance Project Manager that is responsible for leading two high-visibility strategic initiatives. The role requires a strong delivery leader that's capable of driving complex, cross-functional enterprise initiatives from planning through execution, while maintaining financial oversight and executive-level reporting.

About This Role:
- (6) month contract, expected to be long-term w/ extensions or to convert
- High preference for candidates local to Denver, CO
- Hybrid candidates preferred: on-site Tues/Wed/Thur on the 2nd week of the month, rest of the time remote

- Target Pay Rate: flexible based on experience brought to the table
- Full time hours expected, not a part-time contract
  Project Scope 1) Finance-Focused AI Initiative (50%)
Lead the design and delivery of an enterprise-scale, AI-powered Supplier Spend Intelligence platform that enhances:

  • Cost transparency

  • Supplier performance tracking

  • Strategic sourcing decisions

You will coordinate cross-functional teams to transform fragmented financial and procurement data into actionable insights using advanced analytics, machine learning, and automation.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Data integration and analytics enablement

  • Executive alignment and financial governance

  • Cross-functional delivery across Finance, IT, Procurement, and Data teams

  • Risk, schedule, and budget management

2) Legal Document Management Migration (50%)
Lead the migration of a department-wide legacy, on-premise document repository to a modern cloud-based platform using iManage.

Responsibilities include:

  • Document extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) planning

  • Validation and integrity assurance (100% document accuracy)

  • Compliance with retention policies and audit requirements

  • Vendor oversight and SOW enforcement

  • Legacy system decommissioning

  • Stakeholder coordination across Legal Operations and IT

This is a highly visible initiative requiring both technical depth and executive presence.

Key Responsibilities Project Leadership

  • Own end-to-end delivery of both initiatives

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource plans

  • Drive disciplined execution and ensure alignment with business objectives
Execution & Governance

  • Maintain RAID logs, status reports, dashboards, and executive communications

  • Lead cutover planning and change management activities

  • Ensure audit readiness and compliance with internal standards
Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as liaison between technical teams (Architecture, Security, IT Operations) and business units (Finance, Legal)

  • Capture and validate business requirements

  • Translate technical constraints into clear business impacts
Financial Management

  • Manage project budgets (CapEx/OpEx tracking)

  • Support expense reporting and project change requests (PCRs)

  • Monitor funding utilization and forecast variances
Vendor & Resource Management

  • Manage external migration and implementation partners

  • Ensure deliverables meet contractual SOW requirements

  • Coordinate onboarding and allocation of internal resources
Documentation & Tools

  • Maintain project artifacts in SharePoint, JIRA, and related systems

  • Ensure transparency and documentation integrity throughout the lifecycle

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT Project Management experience

  • Proven experience delivering finance, procurement, ERP, or enterprise integration initiatives

  • Experience leading document management or large-scale data migration projects

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procurement processes

  • Experience managing enterprise IT budgets and change controls

  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with:

    • ServiceNow

    • JIRA / Confluence

    • Apptio / TargetProcess

    • Oracle EBS / Oracle Cloud

    • Coupa

  • Experience with iManage implementations

  • Experience delivering AI, analytics, or machine learning initiatives (e.g., NLP, anomaly detection, predictive analytics)

  • PMP, Agile, or related certification

  • Product management experience a plus
