Our client in the transportation industry is looking for a Product Manager to join their team!
Location: This role will have a hybrid schedule of 4 days onsite per week in Cary, NC with 1 day per week as remote.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- This is a high-visibility position with direct engagement with the VP, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on our product roadmap and strategic direction.
- Leading and mentoring a team of four direct reports (two Product Owners, two BA IIs), fostering their growth and development.
- Driving the product roadmap process, incorporating business development insights and market needs.
- Developing and presenting business case analyses, including P&L considerations, and navigate the approval process.
- Collaborating closely with data analysts and QA professionals to ensure high-quality product releases.
- Partnering with IT and enterprise teams to effectively manage technical debt and ensure seamless product integration.
- Articulating a compelling product vision and deeply understanding the product to champion quality in all releases.
Here's what our ideal candidate has:
- Proven product professional with a passion for quality and a vision for long-term product growth and leadership.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Leader
- Demonstrated experience in product roadmapping, business development, and product management.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Strong understanding of P&L management and experience building business cases.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in transportation, logistics, shipping, or 3PL is a huge plus for the ideal candidate.
