Financial Project Manager

Our client gives people the tools to bring their ideas to life and create content that makes life more fun and work more meaningful. They are seeking a Financial Project Manager  to join their team!

This person needs to be local to San Jose, CA or Seattle, WA. 

Here' s what you’ ll be doing:
  • Leading the project team and driving  project vision 
  • Providing day-to-day leadership to the project team in the execution of the project activities across initiatives to provide cohesion
  • Working  with project teams to tie back project execution to KPIs and success criterion
  • Establishing  proper project management, program governance and financial controls
  • Cultivating  necessary relationship building at team and stakeholder level (if appropriate) to ensure alignment and communication on program progress
  • Providing  on demand and direct support for project escalations directly impacting in scope project activities
  • Tracking project deliverables to on-time and on-budget metrics and defined KPI’ s
  • Driving  project communication plan, including periodic project status reporting
  • Tracking  project issues and identify owners, timelines and path to their resolution
  • Planning  and fulfilling  resource needs to meet the project scope, schedule and budget
  • Actively engaging  with project team to understand progress, mitigate risks and drive problem solving
  • Creating  and maintaining  project schedule and budget
  • Contributing  to periodic executive and steering committee meetings
  • Promoting  continual learning by means of retrospectives to drive process, reporting and communication improvements

Here’ s what our ideal candidate has:
  • Significant demonstrable experience in running end-to-end project independently
  • Finance experience
  • Adobe project experience
  • Ability to influence others – must be very skilled at informing, motivating and leading others to action on key project deliverables
  • Bachelor’ s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field required, with 5+ years of experience in a project management
  • Some project management formal education
  • Requirements gathering experience, customer relationship management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and summarize complex situations, with the flexibility to adapt quickly to change
  • Expertise in MS Office, Project management tools with minimal supervision
  • Must be a strategic thinker able to convert transformative ideas to practical solutions that deliver successful results
  • Organizational agility – must possess the ability to interface with and influence all levels of the organization and across functional boundaries
  • Experience in project management, including project design, proposal evaluation, vendor analysis, project reporting, and financial management
