Cloud Automation Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Alpharetta, GA

Pay: Up to $95/hour

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure using the latest automation tools and practices. Your expertise in cloud technologies, along with your proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and Jenkins, will be crucial in streamlining our processes and enhancing efficiency.

Here's what you'll be doing:
  • Utilizing your deep understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and elastic interfaces to design and implement robust and scalable cloud solutions.
  • Leveraging your extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) over 5 years to deploy, and manage cloud resources efficiently.
  • Developing automation scripts using Python and PowerShell to facilitate seamless and efficient cloud operations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Utilizing your expertise in GCP deployment manager, including proficiency in YAML and JSON, to manage and orchestrate cloud deployments.
  • Creating interactive dashboards using BigQuery and Looker Studio to provide meaningful insights and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure, automation scripts, and deployments.
Here's what our ideal candidate has:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), demonstrating proficiency in architecting and managing cloud resources.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and PowerShell, with hands-on experience in automating cloud operations.
  • Extensive experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for efficient software delivery.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of GCP deployment manager, including mastery of YAML and JSON.
  • Proven expertise in creating insightful dashboards using BigQuery and Looker Studio for data visualization and analysis.
Preferred Skills (not required):
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with Go programming language is a plus.
