Infrastructure Systems Engineer

Location: Remote with 1-2 days per quarter onsite in Atlanta, GA.

Our MSP client is looking to add a senior-level Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join their growing team!

This person will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our clients’ customers IT infrastructure. Your expertise in Windows and Linux environments, virtualization, storage solutions, and cloud technologies will be crucial in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our systems.

Here's what you'll be doing:

Managing and maintaining both Windows and Linux server environments, including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
Overseeing virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) to create and managing virtual machines, ensuring resource utilization efficiency.
Administering storage systems, including SAN and NAS, to ensure data availability, redundancy, and integrity.
Implementing and managing cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to facilitate seamless integration, data migration, and disaster recovery.
Monitoring system performance and proactively addressing potential issues to maintain high availability and reliability.

Here's what our ideal candidate has:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in Windows and Linux server administration.
Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Proficiency in managing storage systems, both SAN and NAS.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, including infrastructure as code (IAC) concepts.
