Our client is looking for a Senior Certification and Compliance Engineer to the lead product certification and emissions compliance process, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Developing and managing certification and compliance requirements for products.
Interpreting and applying UL, NFPA, and emissions standards to engineering design, installation, and testing.
Collaborating with design engineers to ensure regulatory compliance for all components.
Communicating UL standards and secure safety approvals with suppliers.
Developing and executing test plans for hardware and software, coordinating with NRTL labs for compliance testing.
Leading discussions with CARB and EPA for emissions compliance and certification.
Documenting design changes to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
Staying updated on industry standards and conducting internal audits for compliance.
Here’s what our ideal candidate has:
Expertise in UL2200, UL 1741, NFPA 70, EPA, and CARB standards.
Knowledge of Li-Ion Battery systems and safety requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems, or related field.
10+ years in relevant engineering roles.
Proven experience in compliance engineering for power generation systems and managing technical projects.
