Vice President, Solution Delivery (Professional Services)

We are seeking a VP of Solution Delivery  to join their team! This role will lead and coach a team of managers responsible for software development.

Here' s what you' ll be doing:
  • Managing, prioritizing and optimizing the IT assets/resources across the organization to drive maximum business benefit
  • Gaining / maintaining an excellent understanding of the business model and value chain and use this to drive incremental business value through the initiatives within the portfolio
  • Developing and maintaining an appropriate organizational structure capable of supporting the information needs of the business unit
  • Identifying, recruiting developing and retaining a high-performance team of professionals
  • Managing Service Level Agreements with user organizations, as well as offshore partners, to provide cost effective solutions
  • Developing and implementing corporate-wide IT policies and procedures
  • Developing annual operating and capital budgets for the business  units’  information and technology  systems’  needs, in line with the Corporate IT strategy and budgetary guidelines
  • Leading the execution of the approved IT  roadmap  which includes creating the business cases, developing software solutions, and providing regular updates to senior business leaders.
  • Drive a sense of teamwork and trust

Here' s what our ideal candidate has:
  • 15+ years of progressive business experience and 10+ years direct involvement with managing IT functions
  • Responsibility for global budgets and demonstrating measurable  ROI  on investments, and progressively building people, process and technology that scale
  • Significant offshore and vendor management experience
  • Experience with mainframe,  midrange,  ecommerce  and mobile solutions highly desirable
  • Business acumen – must be able to approach technology issues from a business perspective
  • Business Process oriented – proven track record deploying technologies that which facilitate complex, repeatable activities and improve speed to market
  • Presentation skills – ability to explain complex issues to a layperson
  • Constituent management – operate effectively in a highly  matrixed  structure
  • Technical competence – understand how to design, build and run platforms that support the business objectives
  • Leadership skills – create and communicate a compelling vision for technology – a vision that is believable and encourages others to buy in and follow
