QA Manager 

The QA Manager  establishes metrics, mentors team members and develops test programs. In this role, you will lead a quality assurance team to ensure that the testing of new products runs smoothly and efficiently and that new products are integrated and working effectively. You will be responsible for all aspects of the quality assurance process throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with both technical and non-technical business units. You will be accountable for guiding the development of testing standards, as well as validating that testing teams are adhering to them.

Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and planning for the QA testing function across the enterprise
  • Develop and implement quality assurance standards and templates; including QA processes and procedures and monitor / audit teams for compliance
  • Mentor internal QA resources
  • Support all quality initiatives that are implemented during each Sprint (Agile Development Methodology) 
  • Review / approve project testing deliverables (e.g. test strategy, plan, test cases, etc.).
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce risk
  • Define and manage defect prioritization and bug tracking processes
  • Participate in Release/Iteration Planning
  • Ensure User Stories are testable and measurable
  • Communicate program-level QA testing risks, issues, and project status regularly with the PMO, business units and stakeholders, both internally and externally

Qualifications:
  • BA / BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience
  • Automation experience using tools such as QTP or QC
  • Experiences in a Lead or Management  QA role
  • Ability to promote the quality agenda firmly but with diplomacy and respect with technology as well as non-technical business partners and vendors
  • Strong understanding of QA best practices and processes
  • Working experience with Agile / Scrum-based development methodology
  • Hands on experience troubleshooting environment related bug issues and defects and coordinating fixes with support teams
  • Experience working  with offshore  teams 
  • Experience working with test reporting / tracking tools

Skills: Manual and automation testing experience; Background leading other QA' s;  Establishing product improvement process, Agile experience
