Summary:

Our client provides end-to-end payment processing services to merchants and financial institutions in the United States, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and throughout Europe. Their payment products are supported by the most reliable network in the industry and include credit and debit card processing, electronic check services, gift cards, dynamic currency conversion, multi-currency support, and cross-border acquiring.

Responsibilities:
  • Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database
  • Manages the design, development, maintenance, upkeep, safety, and integrity of databases
  • Manages the coordination and facilitates the design implementation and control of data management concepts and techniques
  • Allocates appropriate database resources to ensure that projects are completed within committed time and budget and are integrated with other database systems
  • Works with software and hardware vendors to analyze, recommend, and purchase Database tools, products, and services

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor' s Degree in computer science, information systems or a related field and five years of database administration experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA, working directly with Oracle
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle RAC, ASM environment
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard
  • Oracle RMAN Backup and Recovery techniques
  • Experience with proactive monitoring of database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime including space and resource management
  • Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
  • Experience working with development teams on  implementation and release of database changes as submitted by development projects
  • Experience working with Oracle 12c is preferred (a plus)
